Innovation in the Furniture Industry

A concrete example is the Revo collection developed with Profim. In this project, traditional wooden structures were replaced with expanded polypropylene (EPP) containing recycled materials.
By reducing energy consumption at every stage, from manufacturing to distribution, it was possible to reduce the carbon footprint by up to 40%. Indeed, the production of Revo furniture emits only 163 kg of CO₂, while the weight of the components, at just 9.5 kg, translates into reduced fuel consumption during transport. Overall, this means a reduction in the carbon footprint of 13% and 40% compared to standard furniture made from wood or wood-based raw materials. This entire process also results in enhanced product recyclability (1).
