The KNAUF Group is today recognized as the expert in plaster, insulation, ceiling solutions and plastics.
The success of the KNAUF Group was born in 1932 from the vision of two brothers, Karl and Alfons KNAUF. As young mining engineers, they decided to take on their first industrial challenge and founded Gebrüder KNAUF together. Specializing in the extraction and exploitation of gypsum, the company quickly launched into the production of building materials for interior design, plaster coating and plaster cast ceiling tiles.
INNOVATION AND GROWTH
In 1958, the company launched into the industrial production of plasterboard. Innovation and growth accelerated. In addition to construction products and processes with ever-increasing performance, new specialties were added, particularly in the areas of insulation, packaging and plastics.
Since then, the KNAUF Group has built a reputation for excellence throughout the world. Its exceptional industrial success is consolidated by the human and social principles of a company that has always drawn its strength from its family values.
