The 43rd edition of MCE – <\/span>Mostra<\/span> Convegno<\/span> Expocomfort<\/span> closed its doors at Fiera Milano<\/span> last March with a bunch of proposals on the road to <\/span><\/span>efficiency, <\/span>sustainability<\/span> and innovation<\/span><\/span><\/strong>. <\/span>Under the claim of \u2018<\/span><\/span>Beyond Comfort<\/span>\u2019,<\/span> Mostra<\/span> gathered<\/span><\/span> the biggest <\/span>companies in the HVAC+R, renewable energy, energy efficiency and water world<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Our international Knauf Industrial Solutions team joined the meeting to put into value our <\/span>existent <\/span>solutions for the sector. But, most of all, to share our <\/span><\/span>expertise<\/span><\/span><\/span> with smart costumers to work together, hand in hand, <\/span>towards more efficient systems.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Sustainability and EPBD4 Directive: what comes next?<\/span><\/span><\/h2>

The edition was focused on <\/span><\/span>e<\/a>nergy efficiency and energy transition<\/strong><\/span><\/span> with the new EPBD4 Directive as a <\/span>framework<\/span>. The European Parliament definitively approved <\/span>the text only a few days before <\/span>Mostra<\/span>, including a new ‘A0’ class in the APEs (Energy Performance Certificates), corresponding to <\/span>ZEmBs<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

The <\/span>Directive<\/span> also encourage<\/span>s<\/span> the use of<\/span> all adaptive technologies<\/span> to<\/span> ensure the proper functioning of buildings and maximum efficiency in all climatic conditions. <\/span>\u201c<\/span>One of the major challenges for HVAC market<\/a> is the increasing requirements for all market actors to be <\/span><\/span>aligned with the sustainability rules<\/span><\/span><\/strong> and<\/span>,<\/span> at the same time<\/span>,<\/span> increasing the HVAC devices efficiency. In this regard modern materials and <\/span>lighter <\/span>components <\/span>with EPP <\/span>can be a solution<\/span>\u201d,<\/span> declares Agnie<\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span><\/span>z<\/span><\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span><\/span>ka<\/span> Ludwiniak, <\/span>M<\/span>arketing <\/span>D<\/span>irector for Knauf Industries<\/span><\/span> Poland.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Energy efficiency<\/span> and comfort<\/span><\/span><\/h2>

The<\/span> urgent<\/span> decarbonisation <\/span>demands more efficient buildings. It involves a better thermal insulation, but also more efficient HVAC systems<\/span> from the beginning to the end of life<\/span>. <\/span>Mostra<\/span> gave the chance to show <\/span>new <\/span>solutions<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u201c<\/span>Around 90% of current HVAC equipment is made of sheets, metals, and inefficient materials. <\/span><\/span>EPP improves insulation, simplifies the assembly process, it lightens the weight<\/span><\/span><\/strong> of the product… <\/span>These are <\/span>advantages for both the <\/span>manufacturer and the end user<\/span>\u201d,<\/span> explains J<\/span>o<\/span>rdi<\/span> Iglesias,<\/span><\/span> Industrial <\/span>Solutions<\/span> International Business <\/span>Development<\/span> Manager. <\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/span>In fact, our material i<\/span><\/span>nsulates <\/span><\/span><\/span>and prevents noise and vibrations.
