The principle consists of creating a polystyrene or closed-cell material pattern identical to the final item required and sublimating it with molten metal during the casting operations.
“Lost pattern” production makes it possible to:
– Reduce casting costs
– Reduce deburring
– Reduce, or even eliminate machining
– Produce one-piece items to avoid assemblies
This process ensures a rough casting that is very similar to its final shape, high dimensional precision and the production of a hollow body with particularly complex geometry.
Partners of the Lost Foam casting industry for many years, we work directly with clients to clearly define their expectations and draw on our experience of the process in order to develop, in conjunction with casting industry clients, the most suitable item.
